Queer and feminist interventions for martial arts
Martial arts, as they are mediatised, focus on male strength, whereas this publication seeks to consider queer and feminist interpretations. it centres learning from those using martial arts to harness strength, refuse oppression and forge safe spaces. This collection of interviews with academics, researchers and artists, acknowledges the pedagogical possibilities of a fight. But most importantly, it explores how we may use interventions to change dynamics in our gym, dojo, ring or roda.
